Day Camp

Daily program of activities for children between 4 and 12 years oriented to entertain and be in contact with nature where the child can discover the natural scenario while learning new skills in addition to the values and philosophy of Guaikinima.

 
  • 3 available locations: Oleta River State Park, Historic Virginia Key Beach Park and Davie (Broward)
  • Activities very similar to the Sleepaway Camp program, adapted to the camper’s age and physical capacity.
  • It takes place in weekly blocks from Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm.
  • Different logistics and transportation options for the best enjoyment and safety of children.

Depending on your location at Doral, we have these two locations:

The minimum number of days per week at the Day Camp is 3 days.
Steps to sign up for the 3-day option:
– Add the week you want in the system and complete the registration by making the deposit payment of $100 per camper
– Once the registration is complete, send an e-mail to info@campguaikinima.com indicating the days of the week you will attend
– You will receive a reply email with confirmation and balance to be paid

  • PRICES AND DATES:
    • Price per week: $TBD + $8 application fee
    • Dates: From June 10th to August 9th.
    • Extended care available per week, from 4pm. to 5:30pm. 
  • DISCOUNTS:
    • Brothers of registered campers Receive discounts!
    • The discount applies to the siblings of a registered camper
    • Discount per week, second sibling: $10

– Tuition is due on the week prior to camp start date.
– 1 Guaikinima T-Shirt (uniform) included per camper.
– A non-refundable application fee of $8 per week applies to all registrations
– Walk-Ins without pre-registration will be taken with an additional $10 processing fee if space is available.
– Tuition payments will be refundable with a cancellation written notice in advance by email to info@campguaikinima.com. We’ll need at least 3 business days notice (by Thursday of previous week, the latest) to transfer the camper to another week or make refunds (transfers will depend on availability). Refunds will be made within 45 days of formal request.
– Campers are grouped by age. Friends requested can not be more than 2 years apart. You can request a maximum of 1 bunk buddie in the same group. We understand that campers want to be paired with friends, we’ll try to place them in the same group but we can not promise the pairing of campers. At Guaikinima we are committed to ensuring that campers enjoy the camp to the fullest, have fun outdoors, make new friends and learn new activities.

 

NOTE: In regards to situations beyond our control, such as but not limited to pandemics, natural disasters, etc.:

If Camp Guaikinima Summer can not go forward due to a government mandate or our own decision, we reserve the right to maintain or modify our current cancellation policy accordingly with previous notification to our registered families.

Camp Guaikinima reserves the right to change the start and/or end dates of the Summer sessions in accordance with the indications of the local authorities in regards to the development of any situation beyond our control.

  • Yellow camp T-shirt. This allows us to recognize our campers.
  • Bathing suit worn under clothes.
  • Sunscreen (the 1st application at home)
  • Bag/backpack with an extra change of clothes and towel.
  • Water Bottle or Cooler.
  • Cap
  • Snack and lunch.
    Note: everything must be identified with the camper’s name
